Real moments instead of staged shots
Reportage approach instead of advertising aesthetics. My style is built on genuine reactions, natural expressions and an unobtrusive setup that lets people relax in front of the camera.
For more than 13 years I have been working as a photographer in Hannover – with a clear focus on business photography, event photography and content for companies. I work with boards, managing directors and teams on executive portraits, employee photos and corporate reportage – as well as conferences, trade fairs and company events. My style is documentary, shaped by an editorial eye and always built so the images perform where they actually live: on your website, LinkedIn, in press, recruiting and social media.
I do not see photography as an isolated end in itself, but as part of how brands communicate. The result is imagery that conveys trust, clarity and personality – without slipping into staged advertising clichés.

Many photographers focus purely on aesthetics. I think one step further: who will see this image? In which context? On which platform? What message should it carry?
From several years working in web design, online marketing and brand communication, I know how differently images need to be built for a website hero, a LinkedIn banner, a press release or a recruiting campaign. That entrepreneurial perspective flows into every shoot – already during concept work, not just in post-production.
The result: images that not only look good in the portfolio, but hold up in real-world use. On your website, in the LinkedIn feed, in the recruiting ad – everywhere digital visibility decides how you are perceived.
I don’t shoot for awards.
I shoot for impact.
I started out self-taught. From years of disciplined self-study grew a degree at Hannover University of Applied Sciences – a path that still shapes my photographic understanding today.
I bought my own camera early on and taught myself, step by step, everything I needed – without a traditional apprenticeship, but with a clear idea of where I wanted to go. That route eventually led to my admission to the photojournalism programme at Hannover University – accepted without a high school diploma, on the basis of outstanding artistic ability.
What shaped me most was the documentary eye – reading real situations, understanding people, releasing the shutter at the right moment. That foundation is the basis for everything I do today: from a focused board portrait to a multi-day event reportage.
Before I fully specialised in corporate communication, I spent several years in wedding and reportage photography. That phase sharpened my eye for real moments, for dynamics and for working with people in front of the camera in a decisive way.
Today, that experience flows into every business shoot. I work with boards, managing directors, teams and freelancers – on executive portraits, employee photos, corporate reportage and motion content for social media.
From a focused 1:1 portrait to a multi-day event reportage, the approach stays the same: calm, planned, with an eye for what matters – and a clear commitment to delivering imagery that performs in marketing rather than disappearing into an archive.
Four principles that shape every project. They are not marketing promises, but what clients actually describe after the shoot.
Reportage approach instead of advertising aesthetics. My style is built on genuine reactions, natural expressions and an unobtrusive setup that lets people relax in front of the camera.
Magazine-level imagery, but always with a clear brief behind it – aligned with brand message, target audience and a concrete use case.
From website hero to 9:16 reel: every shoot is planned so the results perform on your website, LinkedIn and social media alike.
Even people without camera experience feel comfortable quickly. Clear instructions, a patient pace, no hectic workflow – just results with substance.
Alongside client projects, I publish content around photography, content creation and entrepreneurial self-employment – as a way to deepen expertise, not as the main offer.
In the photography journal I answer the questions clients and the industry actually care about: hourly rates, image editing, GDPR, equipment. On top of that there are occasional curated content trips.
This area is deliberately secondary. It keeps the professional bar high and ensures I meet clients on equal terms – whether they book a pure image service or take ownership of their content themselves.
What carries my work long-term is routine and discipline. Sport plays a central role for me – on the path to a clearer lifestyle I lost more than 35 kilograms. That journey produced not only physical change, but also a deep understanding of long-term development, focus and steady consistency.
I bring the same attitude into every project: focused, prepared, reliable.

Experience, education and project volume at a glance – so you have a quick sense of where I stand before we go into detail.
Today’s focus areas: business photography, event photography, employee photos, corporate reportage, social media content and reels for companies in Hannover and the surrounding region.
Whether executive portraits, employee photos, event reportage or social media content – if your images should not only look good but feel professional, I look forward to your enquiry.
